Turtles, farms and green thumbs…?

Knowing what’s going around the world every day, is just part of our daily routines. Now, knowing what’s happening at BMIS is going to be part of ourlives too.

Let’s get geared up for a few updates of interesting happenings! The week before last, the whole lot of pre- primary green thumbs, paid a visit to a nursery in Padappai. As they entered the green world, only ‘ooohhs’ and ‘aaahhs’ broke the silence. On account of Independence Day celebrations, they all made beautiful tricolour paper flowers – on their own! Currently diving ‘Under the sea’, I can see our pre-primary juniors bringing lots of colourful posters and stuffed animal models to brighten up their classrooms. Two weeks back, four fishes (brought to school by a pp-1 child) gave birth to small fry . It was a wonderful sight to see small fry swimming around each other.

Last but not the least, we have our pre-schoolers learning about farm animals. As I walked into their classroom last Thursday, I could see a wall collage with activities done by our one and only Zoe! In the other corner of the classroom, lay a small miniature farm. ‘I barely helped them. They made it all by themselves!’ said the class teacher, Devaki aunty. Apart from this, I think you should all know that BMIS has adopted a baby turtle! All the students are in a frenzy trying to name it! And I almost forgot (silly Me)! We have a small lily pond behind Ashok uncle’s room that brightens up the entrance of my school.
