Infringements and Violations Details Consequences
AbsenteeismMinimum 85% attendance is mandatory to appear for all IGCSE, AS, A Level as well as Term-end ExamsFailing to abide by the mandatory attendance requirement will strictly debar the student from taking up the exams.The student might have to repeat the academic year, if attendance is below 60%
Punctuality/TardyStudents should report at the school premises by 8:40 am. Gate will be closed at 8:45amGate once closed, will be re-opened only after 9am, after the Morning Assembly/ Prayer gets over, until which the tardy students would have to wait outside.
Academic Integrity during ExamsLearners should not indulge in malpractices/ unfair means during examinations. This includes copying from peers, carrying forbidden materials in the exam hall.The concerned examination paper will be considered 'Disqualified' and student will be marked as receiving ungraded in the said exam. The student will be debarred from taking up further exam in the term-end series In case of Checkpoint IGCSE and AS, A level, the violation will be immediately notified to Cambridge and the paper will be disqualified. Students will be subject to consequences as decided by the CAIE Board.
BullyingResorting to derogatory and unfair treatment of fellow peers and juniors, including the usage of repeated teasing, inappropriate language, name-calling or making the other party feel insecure.After one verbal warning, parents will be intimated and called for a meet. If the bullying instance continues further, student will be suspended for a period, the duration for which will be decided based on the severity of the incident.
PlagiarismOriginality of academic work should be given paramount significance, as per stringent Cambridge guidelines.Plagiarized materials will not be approved for submissions for Coursework, IPQ Reports on grounds of authenticity. Students will b e asked to rework and resubmit their Reports from scratch. Repeated instances of plagiarism will disqualify the students from taking up the respective project/ Examination.
Inappropriate language usageUsage of expletives/abusive language/colloquial, unsocial slangs, derogatory phrases/ racial slurs etc. is strictly prohibited.After first two warnings, parents will be intimated and called for a meet. If the instance continues further, student will be suspended for a period, the duration for which will be decided based on the severity of the incident.
Asset Damage and RepairsIncludes lab equipment repairs, breakage/damage of school property, loss/damage of library books.The financial compensation for the loss/ damage will be levied on the student.
Misbehavior while using School Transport Includes not adhering to established rules/ regulations for school vehicle usage, inappropriate conversations with bus mates, being overly loud, disrespecting Driver anna or Helper anna, usage of excessive slangish Tamil languageAfter first two warnings, students will be debarred from using the transport facilities. Parents would have to arrange for personally picking/ dropping the child. Severe misdemeanor might be subjected to suspension too.
Bringing/ using stationery or gadgets that is not permitted as per School Protocol List of items include but is not limited to mobile phones, smartwatches for younger grades, distractive stationery paraphernalia, aerated beverages, chocolates, etc.The debarred items will be confiscated and handed over only to the parents, after intimating them.
Inconsistent/ Unsatisfactory academic performance This will be based on term exams, Unit tests, Practice tests as well as Mocks Students will not be allowed to take up an IGCSE/ AS/ A level exam series if decent grades of C and above are not maintained.
