After the vacation, our new academic year begins with “Back to school” procedures which includes, books and materials distribution where we mark up a specific date in our calendars to visit the school and collect it. Unfortunately, this year turned out to be totally unexpected due to this pandemic. As always, we have an alternative for everything up in our sleeves. Admin team including akkas & drivers worked proactively during this situation. That was the biggest advantage amidst the lockdowns and the restrictions.
As we all know its not a overnight process that could be done. So here is how it worked. Firstly, the difficult job was to receive the books from Bombay and Delhi as the courier services where available only 15 days once. Once received, with great support of few teachers, the segregation work was completed. Frequently sanitizing the books and tables made the whole place much safer. As we had to follow many protocols and regulations, we kept receiving books until the date of distribution. We had distributed it in two places: Chromepet and Manimangalam.
We had to shift the books to the respective place simultaneously, according to the parent’s request. The challenging phase was to look for what is pending and mark it accordingly. Next challenge was to courier the materials for few of them who were at their native. As the courier services had different patterns inside Tamil Nadu and outside Tamil Nadu, the process took a bit longer than expected.
